  • Zeek's Chuckie Marathon

Decided to do a 8 lb Chuckie this weekend with Oak and Cherry. I knew it's was going to rain so I decided to set up a tarp and hope for the best. Damn long smoke for a 8 lb'er, stall from hell. Thanks for viewing my smoke...

Did some mushrooms for my sammies...

Just put on the Chuckie at 6:30am est...

After 3 hours, just put the probe in...

Getting ready for the rain, just finished setting up the tarp...

Had to put some 2x4's up to keep the tarp away from my stack...

    Finally hitting 150...

Here comes the storm and it didn't stop raining all day...

finally hit 170 and ready to foil. Took forever...

Put the mushrooms on about 1 hour before this pic. As you can see it's dark out now. I might be a little thick because after taking this pic I finally decided that I don't think I'm eating tonight. lol (10 pm). I think the foil got more smoke than the meat... lol

Mushrooms done and the best I ever done. Amazing taist and juicy from hell. God I love this stuff.

After a 2 hour rest in the cooler (1am). I'm freaking tired...

Brought it to 205 and just did a rough pull on both trays. Here is one of the trays. Wrapped everything up and put it in the fridge. I'll pull it better in the morning. I'm friggin beat...

                hehehe, dats funny!

Looks like some awesome beef Zeek! Them shrooms look mighty tasty too.

Aint muscle meats fun? I did 6 butts a few days ago, and they were all 6.75-8 lbs. 3 of the six were done and in the cooler in 7.5 hrs, 2 others went to the 8.5 hr mark, and the last one( not the biggest either) went to 9 1/4 hrs.

I love the chuckrolls and shoulder clods, and they take me about 12-15 hrs each at 245-260.

way to improvise on the shelter, and keep the beer dry!

Looks great man. Even the small chuckies hit nasty stalls for me. Looks like it was well worth it though.
