Using a Grinder as a stuffer

I have seen here, where many people have problems using a grinder as a stuffer. They mention they can't take out the grinding plate, because the spriral meat thingy bobby, doesn't have anything to seat into.

This is the item you need to use, if you use your grinder as a stuffer.........its called a spacer.

they come in several different sizes. This item, should make your stuffing ALOT easier, using a grinder.

Sometimes called a "separator plate" too. Still, if you are looking for consistant coarser ground sausage, get a stuffer. But these do work OK. I'm surprised your unit did not have one included D88de?

I did a lot of stuffing with my Cabelas grinder. The problem is with the consistency of the sausage. The first meat to come out is nice and chunky with good definition, and then it begins to get progressively mushier as you continue to stuff. You can look at one end of the sausage and see it looks way different than the other. A $70 vertical stuffer like this one will make your sausages so much better.
