  • Neighborhood 4th of July Bash

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry I am late in posting this...It took me a while to recover, then I had to clean up gear, then I had to go through pics...I had a new camera and I'm not so sure I like the pics that are coming out of it. Anyway, we had a heck of a 4th of july bash in my neighborhood. Complete with band, 220 lbs of meat I smoked, fireworks galore, family, swimming, drinking, and good friends. Here's how it looked.........

I started on Saturday smoking the briskets and the butts. I also made a whole mess of beans! I also had 9 people staying in my house, so Me and Mrs. Engineer were busy as heck. I didn't get a lot of photos of my feast I put together.

Here's a brisket that came off of the smoker...I took all of the points and made burnt ends. About the time that they were ready, neighbors started showing up to drink beer. We ate all of them...not a single burnt end to take to the party! Dang they were good. The neighbors were all moaning and oohing and ahhhing...it was cool!

The kids loved playing in the Hammock...a good stock of smoking wood behind it.

    FIREWORKS!!

Looks like my Nephew is going for a swim....

Sunday I did Ribs, Chicken, and Sausage...and a lot of each! I managed to get some pics of the ribs.......

Here's the lineup at the party.........

Our Band...The guy singing is my neighbor...the lady next to him is his wife, and the brunette is her sister. They are flippin' awesome!

We started with 200 plates, and had to go get more...I fed a whole bunch of people! The BBQ was awesome. Some people told me that I should think about if I was doing the right thing for a living. It was a great party!

Dana - off the hook! From the chow line to that wickedly sick trailer of of pure firework hell ya got there.

I love this picture... damn bro, there is no translation needed for that twinkle in your eye and big assed grin... "Yes, Yes I am going to blow all this shit up!"

If this isn't worthy, I don't know what is!
