I recently purchased a Hasty Bake Oven, Smoked Spare ribs for 3.5 hours came out beautifully. I would like some tips on how to regulate temperature as this is not a true smoker

I owned a hasty bake gourmet. sold it less than 6 months after owning it. thin metal. it wouldn't smoke at all. to many air leaks. it was good for searing because you could raise and lower the charcoal grate but for smoking. nope. grease leaked out of the bottom of it on my wife's new pool deck. the center runner that is suppose to catch grease didn't work to good. bought it for $1200 or $1300 and sold it for $700. I could smoke better w/ my weber kettle. that's just me. a lot of ppl love hasty bakes. and i'm sure its a great grill but I didn't like mine at all.
