Blackstone Ribeyes

Couldn't find the new griddle/discada forum on Tapatalk? Oh well, move as needed. Couple Ribeye steaks, Olive oil, JAB, Tatonka, Kosher, CBP. Medium heat on the 22" Blackstone. 135-140*. Rested 10 minutes. Pretty good overall. Not as good as a Vortex seared Ribeye IMO, butt still good. Had to play with the new toy tonight. Handy and quick cooking. [emoji106]

I can't fry Steak:
My Mother used to buy what she could afford, Round Steak, and then fry it "Well Done" in a pan. I used to hate when I came home from school & found out we were having "Steak" for Supper. :faint:

The first decent steak I ever had was, believe it or not---In The Army.

Now that is saying something right there Bear! The only decent steak I had in the Army was on an Air Force base

ain't nuthin' wrong with that blackstonesteakgriddlin'daddy! i don't care for them but try carmelizing some onions first then cook some mushrooms and garlic and then cook yer steak on that area....finish with a splash of red wine and butter then top with all that stuff!

Yup---Exactly, but this was that Steak we were guaranteed (The way you want it) when you get back from Vietnam. We all had at least one Great Steak in Hawaii (Schofield). I left a little piece on my tray & went back to the Mess Sgt and said it was too well done. He laughed & gave me another Steak.
Then he said, "And if you don't like that one I'll give you another!!"

The only good food I had in 'Nam was the one time I ate in an "Air Force" "Dining Hall" in Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base, when we lived it up for a weekend.
