Been a while since I smoked some ribs. So I wanted to try a MHGP vs Blues Hog rub throwdown. Got some Blues Hog online and its pretty good, a little spicey compared to MHGP.

Blues Hog on top and MHGP on the bottom

Thanks everyone. I had never tried Blues Hog before and it was pretty good. The heat definitely dropped down a notch after cooking than before. I was concerned it might be too hot for "the moms" since it had a good kick, but it toned down nicely. It was good, just not quite good enough.

GP has a bit of sting out of the bag. Many have said..Woo! that’s spicy! But yes after cooking it kinda mellows in and is just a background thing.

Thanks for being a supporter. I know even I use other stuff, but when you got a good “go to” it’s a nice feeling...

Try mixing the Blues Hog with their Mahogany Red, 1/2 and 1/2. We used this combo in competitions and it was killer!

Rich, I think you have a few supporters here. Glad i found it. So far, of all the rubs I've put it up against, only Bone Sucking Sauce's Seasoning & rub came close with my unpaid, unqualified family test group (but your's still took them down).

P.S. Are you coming to Casa Grande this winter?

Most likely...probably Late Feb-March I’d think... I do wanna talk to T-Dome/Bill to be sure he’s open for the weekend. Those parties are just too good not to have!
