I just knew someone was going to go there I had the same thought, (not MaryJo) but not brave enough to post it

weeks ago I was in Indiana and went to a steak house
called St. Elmo's in Indianapolis and had a dry aged porterhouse

Picking the first thing that pops into my head....

The bone in filet at Ditkas in Chicago downtown location.

          Those were the day's.

Bout 25ish years ago I was skiing at Big Sky Montana. They have this side trip, ya ride up the mountain in horse drawn wagons at night to a log lodge. The served buffalo, hand rotissed over an open fire! Everything they served was cooked just like the early mountain folk cooked (or so they said).
Was amazing, coming off of an 6 hour day on the mountain didn't hurt either!

Ok, I have a several of things that are very simple but they are things the from my childhood that I truly miss.

One Indiana style fried pork tenderloin sandwiches from the A&W drive in with an ice cold frosted mug of root beer.

Two fresh breaded morel mushrooms pan fried in butter.

Three my step dad who past this last year grew the best bi colored sweet corn. we would eat it every night while it was in season.

Last but not least homegrown beefsteak tomatoes. Darn they just cant be grown the same on the coast.

                Meal, Venue, Experience.

On Christmas Eve in 2015 my family enjoyed Feast of the Seven Fishes, a seven course meal with sauces that were out of this world, at ENews Giuliana Rancic's RPM Restaurant in Chicago.

Heading back after dinner my wife dug an artificial table top Christmas tree out of the dumpster behind a drug store and took it back to our hotel room to celebrate the holiday and exchange gifts.

I have not had fried green tomatoes forever

I just had a cheeseburger off the Weber, pretty damn good

                            For the newbs!!

I already entered this with the scallops over a bed of linguine, butt I have a new one. Frozen Reese's peanut butter cups and a cup of fresh brewed coffee first thing in the morning. Just sayin'...
