    Hey Jerod,

Man that is really coming along. If I can see from the pics, from the bottom up, it looks like a slide out ash pan, the fire pan, and then the water pan framing...Man that is some good looking fabrication. Points on a reload!

I got a little update here today. I have the smoke channels put together and will actually weld them in tonight. In these pics you can see how the channel will go up the side and then back down inside the cook chamber.

smoke chamber shell sitting outside the smoker

top of smoker when channels are in. Not welded yet so they look crooked

            straight on view

            thanks for lookin

Jerod - So then am I right that the smoke and most of the heat will be channeled up to the top along both sides of the chamber and then drawn back down to the exhaust port near the bottom (below the racks)?

Looks like it's coming right along. Nice work!

You are pretty much right. a lot of the heat tho will just go through the water pan tho and then transfer straight up in the cooking chamber.

Excellent work man. I'm jealous of those welds. A pro welder looked at my welds and called them gorilla welds, , , big, ugly and strong
Only ever used a stick welder, that wire feed lays down some pretty beads.

A couple quick pics...We actually got farther then this today but these are all the pics I got.(plus some burnt ends in the MES)...in these you see the high temp insulation going in and the skin getting a good fit...All that is left is the back skin, smoke stack and front doors. Everything except the smoke stack should be done tomorrow. thanks for lookin
