  • Some SV Tri Tip and Twiced Baked Taters...

I know the SV thing has become a little contentious lately but here's my deal.

I use it when it makes sense. That being said, we are actually a sports family and we are often times going in multiple directions at once. Last night for example, one boy had practice, wife was working, I was working and the other boy was enjoying Friday. During this, a neighbor started a fire on their stove top and the fire department showed up.

So, the details. This is a Tri-Tip steak which should not be confused with a Tri-Tiproast. I did 3 of them. I used a tri-tip rub I make and a pad of butter or two. Put them in for 3 hours at 132°. Hence, I had more time on my hands now. Finished them in some CI for a sear.

The Mrs. also made some twice baked potatoes.

All in all a very good meal and the family was happy and fueled. Had 2 lacrosse games this morning as well as a basketball game following those. Even have some left overs for steak sandwiches.

    Thanks for looking.
