  • looking for a sweet mop...

    Its been a while guys....

we will be having a barbeque day at the fire house....and i'll want to give these guys a good charcoal grilled pork and chicken bbq...

I will just be using salt, pepper and crushed garlic to give taste to the meat...

I want to ask help for a sweet mop/basting sauce...

Thank you and God bless you all.....

well you could go all diabetic killer and just use some yoshidas :-)

But with the rub you're using - all a mop will do is make the meat taste like the mop.
    Seems a bit pointless.

So stick to something simple. Maybe just use apple juice in a spritzer (any cheapo spray will do).

By all means use a side sauce - my peach bbq ticks all the known boxes and would go great with a minimum rub/mop setup. Plus it's real easy to make as well :-)

Ignore what it says in the thread, these days I use tinned peach halves in light syrup friom lidl :-)

            A sweet mop?

Mine’s called a wife scrubbing the floor right after she cusses me for walking on the wet floor while wearing my dirty running shoes.

No...I did not win that argument...

That sounds great Brian! Maybe a little Rum/Bourbon?

I like to cut SBR's with ACV for ribs, and sometimes add a bit of red pepper flakes for a glaze on chiggin/pork, butt never used your idea as a spray/mop. I like it
