  • Teriyaki Pheasant Sandwich

Sliced some pheasant into strips and marinated overnight in teriyaki sauce. Sliced some red onions and green peppers and sautéed them along with the pheasant.

    -----

    Added some crushed pineapple.

    -----

    Toasting the buns.

    -----

Of course had to add some provolone cheese.

    -----

    Delicious!

    Thanks for looking!

Tell me more about this pheasant thing you speak of. Never been much of a bird hunter. Too many cattle, pigs, and deer in Oklahoma. Curious of the flavor. And why pineapple? To balance the teriyaki? Just trying to wrap my brain around this before I go buy a ton of pheasant because it sounds great.

Oh yeah, you suck for owning the grill I covet!

You do also have ring neck pheasant in Oklahoma... kind of like chicken. Popular upland game bird here in North Dakota and our dog loves retrieving them! The cook would honestly work with any meat - beef, venison, chicken. Teriyaki is more on the savory and sweet side and any teriyaki dish that we have liked has had some form of pineapple in it and it just works well together.

                      Sorry, have the 36" and a 22"!
