Meatball subs...Non Sous Vide...

  • Meatball subs...Non Sous Vide...

    Never ate one of these before but I had some leftover spicy marinara sauce from the batch I just made...Had to use it for something...

    Meatballs were made from lean burger and some Italian sausage...Mixed with Italian bread crumbs and CBP...Also an egg to hold it all together...
    On the grill...


    Rotated and turned...Looking OK to me...


    Some of the balls into the Marinara sauce to heat up...


    Toasted some hard rolls and hit em with some Mozzarella...
    Add the balls and some of the sauce...


    Hit em with some more cheese...


    In the house I added some more of the spicy Marinara sauce...


    And that's it...Never had one before...But I probably will again...

    I have never had one either. But they sure look good and if the opportunity arrived I sure would give them a shot if they looked as good as yours!!!

        I generally don't care for ground beef from fast food. I guess the only place I go that has a meatball sub is Subway and they would fall into that fast food category for me.

              That's bordering on being repetitively redundant...

              How in the wide wide world of sports have you missed oot on the goodness that is a meatball sub after all those many years you have been on this Earth??? Tell Lena to let you out more...

                Wow Craiger, those are some mighty fine balls you got there!
                We have meatballs quite often, butt I've never cooked them on the grill. I'm liking that gig fo sho!
                And for not SVing them...

                    I hope you picked it up and ate it with your hands - like it was meant to be eaten.
                    Watching people eat sandwiches with a knife and fork just messes with my head

                            You might want to think about the rotis.....oh, never mind.
                            Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
                            My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.
