Looking good so far, don’t know if the vent setup will work as expected but it sure looks impressive. Nice job on the basket.

I imagine you could put them side by side if you are concerned about the position.

You're choice.

I did but I don't know that it's necessary. Keeping it centered is good though.

I had mine slide over against and block an intake before I added the bolts to keep it centered.

OK, got off my ass and finished to seasoning:

Calabrated my 2 therms I'm gonna use

Started working on my deflector/diffuser shield

used the 2 weber grates for circles and some small chain to make the others, cut out with my jigsaw, 16ga.

now I got the screws in and ready for action

getting everything ready for the season burn

And away we go:

AWESOME temp hold, very consistant, I LOVE THIS THING ALREADY!!!!

I'm so glad I did it, I played with the valves and temps followed what I did very soon...

Took it up to 500* and then choked it, burn for about 1 hr

Can I do meat now?

THNX

They run a lot hotter when empty.

But they are still pretty darn efficient even when loaded with meat.

I did the lamp allthread stuff. already only 3/4 long and just 2 nuts found right in the same section at an Ace Hardware.

3/8 OD (don't know what that makes the ID) the probes go all the way thru without getting stuck on the curve, easy with a 3/8 drill bit
