      i ain't never knowed that $hit was that expensive... son scrounged some up...we cool...not as cool as Louie wants...she wants it meat locker cold ...i'm fine...

        Not a good week - weekend at the T-H House.. Making 5 pounds of venison SS and kicking back.. Not really my thing for the first weekend of Dove Season..

            Yep, they're phasing it oot like they did R12 so most of that expense is added taxes.

              Well they had turkey legs slightly cheaper than normal so i bought a couple.
              Also I bought a couple of pork shoulder joints (no bones over here) for £2 a kg - thinking I might use the thigh for sausage and throw the drumsticks and pork on the outlaw for some pulled pork - haven't smoked any for a while.
              I did the last lot in the oven

              depends on the weather though.
              nice and dry and sunny today. if it's like this saturday I'll jetwash the drive and run the bbq at the same time.

                Pulled pork chili here. We have a dear friend who is stricken with Parkinson's disease, and this Saturday is the annual fund raising walk.

                We have a gathering at their house after, and the chili will be my contribution, along with the obligatory burgers and dogs.

                Smoked up the butts and pulled em yesterday, so I'll toss the chili together today and let it get really tasty in the fridge overnight....then tomorrow just reheat.

                I'll try to put up some pics Sunday.
