  • French Dip Roast Beef Sliders

So my wife wanted roast beef sliders for a work event... so looked around found a few I liked and the combined this and that.. they turned out great... so I made them again... this time I got evidence. So I am using roast beef that I smoked and vac packed away. Of course you can use store bought... but....

Here we go lets get to the sliders!

Take a package of kings Hawaiian rolls and slice in half, take off the top. Bush the bottom of pan with butter and place rolls in pan.

Next layer with cheese.. as you can see I used three kinds because that is what I had.. of course you can use what you like!!

Next put on your roast beef. (in future ones I have made I have finely chopped the roast beef..works better!!)

Next I put on fresh fried onion straws... now you can use a can of French's onions.. but fresh are better!!

Next put the top back on and brush with the following mixture and coat heavily:
    3/4 stick melted butter
1 Tablespoon packet Au Jus seasoning mix separated
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    1 teaspoon JAB
    3/4 teaspoon dried minced garlic
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Then sprinkle on 1 Tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Bake in a 350 oven until tops are brown and cheese is melted... not sure why I took a picture of the edge of the pan.... but you get the idea!

Take to part and watch them fly off the counter!!

My wife likes me to make the rest of the Au Jus packed and make french dips out of them... which I say is pretty dang good... but messy for a finger food at a party!!

    Thanks for looking!

Not a fan of the KH rolls but any bake and serve rolls would do the trick...
I need to try this soon...

ooo! I love that idea! We make these a lot, but usually with either sloppy joe mix, bbq chicken, or philly cheesesteak. Going to have to try the french dip approach next time! Thanks

I'd have to make two batches, the first would end up in my belly!

                          Very Nice!

I do the same thing with ham and cheese when I have a bunch of kids around wanting to eat after team events. I use King's Hawaiian bread for them.

I really like your idea as I have some RB in the freezer and I've been trying to figure out what to do with it.
