Hi everybody. I finally did it. I made my first batch of bacon I used TQ, brown sugar and maple syrup. I let that cure for 14 days. The Maple and sugar and the air gave it a brown color. I was worried. So a test fry and wow.

I had a hard time with the fire. Up and down I tried for 130 but at times it got up to 170 Anyway I went 6 hours with peach smoke.
Here are some slices a little while after the smoke. It was still warm from the smoker so the slices weren't that great but tasted really great.
Ok my knife wouldn't slice the bacon like I wanted so I had to fix that.
Alright IMO it don't get better than this. Home smoked bacon is hands down better than anything you can buy. If you haven't then you should be smoking your own bacon.
