Just got my MES 30 looks like they have changed the element mounting area. Not sure the AMNPS 5x8 tray I ordered is going to fit, the two bars I saw in pics of the previous model are not there in this one, and there is around 4 3/4" between the side wall and element mounting hardware.I guess I may have to put it on the bottom shelf.

That's the Generation #2.5 you have.
I've found the best place for the AMNPS in that one is on the bottom rack, all the way to the right, near the wall.
Then you can pull the Chip dumper out a couple inches if you need more air to keep the pellets burning, or push it in if it's smoking too much.

Thanks for the reply, that's where I will put it. I'm doing the "seasoning", I could smell the manufacturing oils burning off at first, have some chips in now. I have some ribs ready to smoke, will use the chip feeder for those. My AMNPS should be here tomorrow, I'll do a burn in on that too, before using it in the smoker.
