Go for the Yoder. I have the GMG DB and have been very happy with it, but it hasn't been without its problems. The Yoders are built like a tank and will be around forever.

YS 640. It's been very good to me for more than 2 years now. Holds a lot IMHO, I got 7 pork butts in it few weeks ago.

I have no dog in this hunt but from the three you have suggested and what I have read here on the site and on MANY other forums.. Yoder is the way to go..

Good luck, Merry Christmas on your new toy.. Keep us in the loop on your endeavors..

Based on what I have seen, heard, read Yoder would be my vote. That said, my good buddy has a GMG Jim Bowie and really likes it. Although its only been around 4-5 months. Half the cost of a Yoder+- (Not that that is good, or bad, just an observation)

About half the weight too. Steel counts.

The GMG definately looks inferior in material thickness to me, based on what I have seen.

Being in California "cold" temps may not influence your choice on a pellet grill that will maintain temps... But I can tell you my wife and I who are located in upper North Dakota have had a Yoder YS640 for just on 4 years now and it has proven itself to us in all types of weather conditions you can throw at it.

We love the quality of the build, thickness of the steel, warranty provided and most importantly what it provides us for end products with its cooks.

I am not trying to over sell a product... whatever you choose will work and impress you, just sharing our purchase experience.

just by all the owners and posts round here I'd be inclined to head towards yoder as well.

You can probably add all that wifi/bbq app stuff anyway.
Definitely some members who have all that crap
