That's amazing. The US was the only team that had ALL of their games (in fact ANY game including semi final) played at 7:30 PM EST. This was to accommodate the US Prime Time TV market. Even the Gold medal game is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST because they were so sure that Team USA was a lock for another Gold medal ..... maybe next year

Only hours after winning the World Junior Hockey title in Buffalo, members of Team Russia were kicked off a flight this morning for being either drunk or unruly.


WGRZ quotes police as saying the 30 team members were thrown off a Delta flight scheduled to leave Buffalo-Niagara International Airport because members of the team were intoxicated.

TheBuffalo News quotes a Delta spokesperson as saying 30 people were not allowed to board because of "unruly behavior," but did not identify the passengers.

TheNews, however, quotes unidentified airport sources as saying "it appeared the tournament champions were still celebrating" when the incident occurred.

The Russian team won the hockey crown in a 5-3 comeback victory Wednesday night over Canada.

They had been scheduled to fly to New York's JFK airport via Atlanta for the trip home to Moscow
