Been digging Razor Clams for over 45 years, since I was a kid. My best buddy's family had a cabin in Grayland WA since like 1928 or something like that. There is where I learned, and I think the limit was 30 back in those days. Nowadays, its 15, and typically smaller clams then back then (people, population, etc.). Anyways, I have been taking both my kids since they were old enough to walk, trying to pass along a NW tradition. A day on the beach, wind, rain, snow, sun is good for everybody IMO. The past couple years, they did not really do that well, and I was digging most of them. This year, I told them if you wanna be successful, you have to work! Especially if the digging is not that good, and it does vary from day to day, beach to beach (location to location). So, we get to the beach Saturday afternoon/evening, and my oldest and I had a few beers at a local earlier (designated wife driver [emoji106]) and were putting on our gear, in no hurry and having a beer and BSing.... Get down to the water and my 13 y/o already had 3 in his bag in 5-10 minutes..... GAME ON! We ended up with 75 in 2 nights of digging, 2 of us 1 night, 3 of us the next. 85% of them were smaller, but you are supposed to keep the first 15 you get, and trying to teach them to follow the rules/law. They did excellent! We ended up with 4.5 pounds of Meat, ready for frying, chowders, etc. Stayed at a really cool, pet friendly Hotel Fri n Sat right by the beach and had an awesome weekend. I will add some pics. My wife is worse than Rich at taking pics (if that's possible?) It was after dark, and the mist made the flash pics made Rich' pics look ootstanding

Kudos for keeping the tradition up.
How's it fry ?
The fry up excellent! Or, baked at 500+ for a few minutes.
Thanks for the comments, it was cool to see the kids finally "get it" on the spotting & digging them part.
