  • 3d printed bird plucker thing

some of you may remember a couple years ago when i got my 3d printer.

One of the first things I designed and made was a bird plucker that attaches to a drill (the very first things I made were sausage stuffer tubes).

Well someone has finally posted a video of them using my little gadget :-)
It's a design I uploaded for free to anyone who wants to use it. 128 downloads in 2 years - it was never going to make me rich if I charged for it :-)

But it is really cool to see someone else making and using a thing you've actually designed:

it's a long video, showing everything from dispatch to cleaning. Plucker usage starts at about 10:33.

Also reminded me I was going to design a disc based one that plucks better and at a lower speed.

That's pretty cool. If I had a 3D printer I'd probably make one. My wife would say hell no though. She worked for her aunt in high school processing poultry. Says no more! I've even got some roosters that'd like to see the inside of my smoker.
