  • Replenishing My Smoked Cheese Supply

I was running low on smoked cheese so it was time to replenish the supply.

Got some mild cheddar and pepper jack.

    Laid out on the smoker.

Using cherry pellets in the Amazen tray.

    Off and running.

Smoking like a freight train today.

After 3 hours in the smoke.

Quite a few pellets left so I created a gap and let them burn out so I could save the rest.

All vac packed and ready for a 2 week rest in the fridge.

    Thanks for looking.

I'll let you know in two weeks.

When I was setting up I looked at my pellet supply. I had 3 bags of pellets -- hickory, pecan and cherry -- and I haven't used the cherry on anything yet so I figured I'd give it a try. We'll see how it goes.

Eh...Mild cheddar does melt better than the tastier sharp cheddar...

If I want meltey cheese I go with Colby...

Tall fescue/Kentucky bluegrass blend. Stays green and needs mowing all year long.

                    Almost time to mow again.

                          Yes, yes I do.

The way the SnP was puffing smoke I was worried this batch would be overpowering but it came out just fine after 2 weeks.
