  • Patty Melt Test Run

Seasoned the Griddle Grate one evening last week.

    -----

Last night after work my wife and I had a chance to try it out on the kettle with the Vortex for patty melts. Sautéed the onions, cooked the burger patties and grilled the patty melt perfectly.

Really going to like this accessory, my mind is flooding with ideas for new kettle cooks!

        I'm liking this.
Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

It was $80 shipped to our door. Not bad for heavy 3/16" carbon steel in my opinion. I will post the manufacture's contact info.

Does it have any way to collect or drain off grease? I was just envisioning doing some bacon on it and having a huge grease fire

There is no grease drain, but I don't see it being an issue... to make sure I will gladly make up some bacon on it to test it out. As much as I dislike bacon I hope you understand the inconvenience I am willing to go through just for you Mike! ...
