Looks great Sam! You are going to love that little beast!

On a side note after 2 1/2 years the stainless ash guard on mine is starting to get some holes in it. Time to build a new one I guess!

Cool build, I am gathering parts and should be joing your club shortly. I have word out that I'm looking for and older Smokey Joe with vents on the side.

The Smokey Joe Gold have them on the sides , although I wasn't able to find one at any of the big box stores. I saw them on Amazon though.

            Good luck with the build!

Sam used a silver Joe and added the side vents. Best of both worlds.

Side vents work great for smoking and the bottom vent works great for searing.
