      Re:

Fine looking Blog Site there. Informative for any beginner who would like to have a simple way of putting some savory side dishes together with the smoked meat he or she prepared. Dutch Ovens are versatile cooking implements and perfect for cooking Beans, Rice, Casseroles, Vegetables, Breads, Stewing Meat, Cobbler Desserts and other foods beyond those.

If you purchase your first Dutch Oven....consider purchasing a 6 quart 12 inch DO. Season it with Flax Seed Oil well before using. When washing it use only a little dish washing liquid but never detergent. Take care of your implements and do not allow them to rust. Keep oil on them in order to prevent that. They will give you good service in return.

If you wish to learn to cook with charcoal briquettes, just follow this
chart for total coals "top and bottom".

And remember, there are foil pans that can fit inside a Dutch Oven so the contents can be lifted out leaving a clean Dutch Oven. You cand even line your DO with foil if ya like. But once you try this a few times
you may find yourself hooked and your guest as well.

Love Liddy's blog. I have been reading for a while now and have tried several recipes from there.

The blog owner is a member of camp-cook.com. Not to promote here but there are really great recipes there for people into the dutch oven cooking. Not so much of the BBQ or smoked meat like here but it's nice little place.

I have to get my ovens out and cook.
