That German made one is available on Amazon and has less than stellar reviews and uses an expensive battery as well. It doesn't have an option for a wired power source. I enter part numbers to amazon a lot just to see reviews on it

I know this one is overpriced for most of us here, but it is the one I used at the pizzeria I worked at. That thing was abused in more ways than any of us here would ever dream of doing to our own stuff. All 4 stores had the same one and all had at least one broken foot from being dropped repeatedly and cracked cases. They never lost calibration to my knowledge and always worked quickly and flawlessly. Readouts were always instant. If you read the description of these cheap scales, you will find some take up to 10 SECONDS to give an accurate reading!

                            Thanks

I will look into the German made one if I can find you post,

Been running 2 different laptops and I guess the cache/reload did not work, I never saw the post when I checked this morning.

The harbor freight one is OK unless you hit the callibration button.

You need 2 2500 gram items to calibrate it. So you hit the calibration button and dont hae 2 2500 pound items, now you have a paperweight.

With a leaning towards weighing spices versus volumn I am looking for something that is pretty accurate in the gram range consistantly.

I do believe that this is one of those you get what you pay for items.

I hopw there is some good products in the 50-100 range.

I must say I'm one tenacious sob. Eureka! This one or maybe one of the other Vicon series. There are others, so feel free to look around. This site has the most selection of scales I've ever seen on the Web.
