      Re:

I thought you got some big DO's off eBay Becky ??

Of course you could mix it up and cook it in two DO's.

My largest is 8qt and I use it for the "Big" stews, chili's, and such.

Or if you want you can cut the recipe in half.

Then ifin ya got a lot of hungry Hobo's hanging around needin fed...

No, all I have are 10". I got a lot of the hammered DOs off eBay and they are 10", too. I'm just about ready to pick up a 12" though.

          Re:

Becky, here's my DO's stacked from 2 qt, 4 qt, 6 qt (12 inch) and 8 qt. (12 inch also) top to bottom.

I think the 12" 6 qt Lodge is one of the most popular and readily available DO's around.

My 8 qt has short legs compared to the 6 qt, so I had a friend of mine weld up some 1/2" re-bar to make a 2 inch tall stand. (you're familiar with what I'm talking about for cooking breakfast on the upside lid)

I've got them all oiled up and and the handles brillo'ed for the early spring season in this old photo.

My 12" Lodge is a fine size for us...I like the even heat I can get...The lid is just right for breakfast!
