  • New Smoke Hollow smoker

Back when I first joined the forums, the GOSM smoker was a real popular smoker to have,There were many members who had them and they turned out some pretty decent smokes. The one I had, the burner tubes deteriorated on me and I was watching for either another GOSM big block which I could get cheap either for parts or use mine for parts and fix up.Never have seen one for sale.

Anyway I ran across this Smoke Hollow Smoker which I have seen at several places. When I ran across it a hundred bucks cheaper than everyone else I pulled the trigger. I just wanted to show it off a little as I have seen a few asking about propane smokers and I think this one is worth considering. While not made of super thick metal, the price reflects that and it is pretty much comparable to the GOSM's but with alot more features....

    Even has a window...

Comes with a neat assortment of racks...

The control panal, has dual burners with a separate wood pan for each. The door above is acces for the water pan so you dont loose all your heat/smoke when checking/refilling water pan.

Rich stopped by to help with some of the pictures, this is a neat sausage hanger. works great with summer sausage chubs. It spins, and if you want you can grab it and remove it with chubs all still attached and either have a tub of ice water or a clean snowbank to drop chubs into to cool them down quick.

    Jerky/drying racks, comes with 3.

Regular heavy racks, I never measured them but the poles i use for sausage which I cut to fit the GOSM fit perfect, so the racks from it would fit as well.

And the multi-purpose rack, rib rack, small roast rack, lots of possibilities for rhis. even put it in upside down and slide things in the bottom of the rack and set a butt or whatever on top???

So far i did about 200 lbs of various sausages, sticks, chubs, weiners, and bologna in it and am very pleased with the results. I have only run it on low and then bumped it up to bring IT's to where I wanted them and never really monitored box temps. I was smoking in single didgit temps so I didnt have to worry much about temps getting away from me. Weiners here.

I have some bacon to do this weekend and a couple hams coming up shortly so we will give it some further test driving. So far, it has performed well. was pretty easy to assemble as well. So if your looking for a propane, keep this one in mind. Thanks for checking and Happy New Year everyone!

Yeah, it is a wide body smoker, I forgot to mention the door latches are pretty slick, the handles are the right height for lifting, well thought out smoker.

I have seen one that was similar, but not with the window or dual burners.

How low can you run that unit?
