I have an iPhone, good for about 10 plus feet, not good for close ups. Had my really expensive camera with me, but can't upload instantaneously with that...

How did you get hit by one??? They drive up and down the boardwalk blaring, "watch the tram car please"!!

Back home from a quick weekend away, the first one we've had this summer. My parents are "seasonals" in a very nice campground down there, been goign down for almost 40 years now. Luckily we have a place to go down pretty much when ever we want. They live down there half the year. Those pics are funny to me in that, when I try to get a good shot of my own food the iphone doesn't take that nice of a pic!

I'm not sure how many competitors there are, but they are packed in there. For the competitors, they are in a nicer area than they used to be, used to be in the middle of the food vendors and all, now they are up in their own area, and just on this side of the beach. One of the pics you can see the sea "wall", more like a beach wall actually. I'll be looking forward to goign down again next year and walking around. Got a bit sunburned though.

One of the new things this year is the grand champ from this now qualifies to enter the World Food Championship in Las Vegas and the American Royale in Mizzou. So it's I guess a pretty good comp to win!!

I was walking across the boardwalk, not sure what I was up to but was about 9 or 10 and suddenly these two old ladies started screaming at me and I didn't know what they Hell they were doing so I stepped back and BAM! It hit my leg.
I figure they were trying to warn me to get out of the way but I'm not an idiot, even as a dumb kid I wasn't an idiot and would have been fine and dandy and gone about my way safely had they not screamed in my face and cause me to take a step backwards...

Shell,
In our younger days, we used to go down to Wildwood a couple times a year.
We always came back with some fudge & a nice box of saltwater taffy!!!

Well I'm heading down there for a week next week. I'll put up a thread on the finer things of the shore...
