  • pvc question

    Can anyone tell me if pvc or cpvc pipe is safe for food use?I'm looking to freeze stuff in it for a real short period of time ie. a couple hours.

    I don't think it's rated food safe, but freezing for a short time... I can't see it being an issue. Especially freezing, as opposed to hot stuff.

      thank you Rich,I'm havin a tough time gettin everything rolled into a fatty.So I'm thinkin stuffin it all in a pipe freezing it,hittin it under hot water for a second to release it and rolling it into my layed out sausage.I'm thinkin it may work and alot less of a mess.what do ya think??

        Might want to see if you can find some thin wall - Sced 20 for that. Not sure about size?

            I use schedule 40 pvc... potable water grade.

                      First year in 23 years I missed the opening weekend of dove season.. Been to busy at work and to be honest it's been too damn hot...

                        Just the opposite here, been rainin so much we can't get out to see d ...er..fill the feeders. Never mind the plots. But then our season doesn't open till October so still time.
                        Oh and to keep it in the thread - I do use a PVC tube to make my dove breast fatties!
