  • Sauced up !

Mixed up the blackberry chipotle sauce to try out on some poke steaks and wings. Came out pretty dam good if I don't say so myself. Like the sweet heat combo and twang from the cider vinegar. The sliced fresh sausage dipped in it was also kickin.IMG_1736.jpgIMG_1738.jpg

          Yum......
Try some habanero instead of chipotle. You will really enjoy it. I tried Serrano once but their bite seemed to bitter for some reason. Tried hatch chilies too but they got lost in the sweetness and acidity.

Some days I think Bravo Zulu, other days it's more like Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...

As soon as my habanero plants start producing I think I will. Have about 8 of them starting to flower and a couple of other types of peppers. Never cannot have enough peppers. [emoji892][emoji892]

                  1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
                  1/2 cup Brown Sugar
                  1 cup Ketchup
                  2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
                  2 teaspoons Smoked paprika
2 1/2 whole Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
About 8oz. or more fresh blackberries
                  1/4 cup Blackberry Jam
                  1 teaspoon white pepper
                  1 teaspoon red pepper
Kosher Salt and Pepper, to season
Combine all but salt and pepper, bring to boil over medium heat, then simmer for 20 minutes, hit it with an emersion blender or mash. Add salt and pepper and adjust to taste. Pass it through a fine mesh strainer with a spatula to remove seeds. Add more red pepper if you like it hotter. Enjoy
