Don't light the pilot with out first removing your oxygen. My last stay in ICU they brought a burn victim who did this. Needless to say he burn his face and inside all the way down to his lungs. I don't know if it was the morphine but I swore I heard him ask for another ciggy.

Never whittle towards yourself or pee against the wind.

Also when you've been up 35+ hrs and everything is almost done for the big family gathering .. Don't sit down to relax when you have a big pan of beans in the smoker finishing off. You will wake up and need to throw them away

Look on the bright side - at least you got a date out of it

If I agree with you, we'd both be wrong.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear
bright until you hear them speak.

A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train
stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

Whenever I fill out an application, in the part that says, 'In case of
                  emergency, notify:' I put 'DOCTOR.'

You can also freeze what you want to vac seal first, then seal it.

Unless you can use a microwave properly - I defrost meat in mine all the time - the trick is to never use the automatic programs - for anything lol

Alway use the lowest power setting for defrosting (NOT DEFROST) and do it in 30 minute bursts for large joints and 10 minutes ones for smaller chunks.
And stop when the outside meat starts to feel warm. Then just leave in fridge - it's not instant but can still cut many hours of just leaving in cold water or days off just leaving in the fridge.
It's like smoking - low and slow is the way to go :-)

My 3 lb packs of pork shoulder steaks come straight from the freezer, get 30 mins in the microwave on lowest setting and are then the perfect temp for slicing and grinding for sausage. Still mostly frozen but soft enough to cut and grind.
Also bear in mind the faster you can defrost something the safer it will be.

If you don't have an extra coffee mill to grind your spices for rubs and such, make damn sure you "CLEAN" the one you have BEFORE you grind your coffee beans.

This morning, I am drinking a nice cup of freshly brewed Ethiopian ground whole bean with hints of cayenne, salt, pepper and chile powder
