Haven't had them in years, boy those were the days.
for some great memories of growing up in north-central PA.Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

Yup---I got about 8 better tasting Fresh water fish than any Salt water fish, and Crappies are one of the top 4.

Despite the opinions of the Center For Science In The Public Interest, there is nothing better than a freshwater fish fried in at least 50% lard, which has a higher smoke point, and gives a much more crisp crust.... Nice eats Bear!Once you go Weber....you never call customer service....

The most fun about crappie, other than eating them is all the different names they get called. Heard some Arkansas folks call them "white perch". In Southern Louisiana, they are Sacalait (pronounced sock-a-lie) while growing up in Central Texas we always called them crappie, but call them what you will, they are goood eats.A few of my favorite things:
