        • Im a picky fucker.. Im not gonna buy meat where a person can buy tires and motor oil.

Ive been hooked on a steak I have been driving to Peoria, IL - 1.5 hours to each way to get. I only buy 1 each visit because freezing a steak like this is a crime. Spot I buy from is Pottstown Meats. - i find myself taking the drive 2x a month lately.

At $8.99/lb this aged, bone in sirloin from a farm just down the road is a heavy hitter in the bang for buck category.

no offense to anyone, but simpler is better when cooking qaulity steak. Kosher salt, garlic powder and a little drizzle of olive oil right before hitting the grill. Of course the steak sits on the counter for an hour or so before hitting the lump:

          top notch:

Just because you welded some shit together doesnt make it a WSM.

No argument here... The only thing I might add to that mix is a healthy dose of CPB.

I would say that is well worth the drive.
            .

Not to mention the occasional campfire

                    • Had a tri-tip that needed to get cooked off. Marinated in my umami blend, with some Tatonka Dust. Gonna be some great lunch meat.

                        • Wings, marinated in Kikkoman's orange sauce and a little hoisin, then galzed with OJ concentrate and honey. I was in a hurry and forgot to add ginger to the glaze, definitely needed the warmth of the ginger balance the citrus. Live and learn.
