Try this meatloaf - Hickory smoked, savory and very juicy.
Hi all, I have been toying around with another meatloaf recipe. I really like the flavor of Rosemary and Thyme imparted in beef so I ran with that with a meatloaf recipe. End result was a very moist, savory and flavorful meatloaf that went faster than any meatloaf I have cooked here at the house. Yum!
Ingredients
6 lbs. Ground Beef 80/20
4 Eggs
1 Cup No Salt Heinz Ketchup
3 Cups Grated Parmesan Chesse
2 Cups Progresso Panko Bread Crumbs
1 Red Onion - Chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper - Chopped
6 Cloves Garlic - Chopped
4 oz. Mushrooms - Chopped
5 oz. Sundried Tomatoes - Chopped
1 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tsp Rosemary
1 Tsp Thyme
2 Tsp Dry Mustard
Nice, one thing i aint ever tried yet but need to give a go... thks for sharing Rob, you move around pretty quick!

Sounds like a great meatloaf recipe and very high on the umami factor, I'm definitely down
Jimmy, when you try it, I'd be interested in what you think. I for one enjoy your cooking style and value your opinion iether way. I always welcome feedback of any kind. Give it a try and let me know.

Lol I said well eat it!
Might cut it in half for a test drive on the UDS when it's done, making a list for the maiden voyage
lol yeah I'm figgering knock it down to about 1lb of meat.
americans have no concept how much beef costs elsewhere - not sure about australia but it's bloody expensive in the uk.
And maybe some wild mushrooms as well :-)

The more mushrooms the better if you ask me
Though it didn't mention what kind to use I would suggest shiitake or crimini because they are so high in umami (savoriness) which is why the meatloaf was so tasty I'm guessing, well that and the fact that Rob cooked it
Also high in umami that was used was ketchup, parm, sundried tomatoes and worcy sauce, all loaded with umami (and of course the beef)
