If you don't like the results of growing in your climate, perhaps you should try growing indoors. Buy a light, use good food.

Nice. IMHO green bells suck. Only growing red and yellow bells plus many various peppers to boot.

You can of course pick it green if you want, that particular strain is most likely a variety that retains its yellow/gold color upon ripening much longer than a "standard" bell before turning red. And possibly best flavor is during that stage as well.
Fish goop is good to keep using occasionally, you could also feed some light calcium since they use quite a bit when producing peppers.
They look happy so only other advice is watering which since in a pot this could easily apply.
To keep your pH a bit more even (near 7) you could take a 5 gallon bucket, fill it with "cold" water. Hot water has more chemicals in it that come from the water heater, you should also always start from cold water when boiling pasta or anything else. Let the bucket sit for 2 days and most of the chemicals will evaporate from it and it will be close to neutral pH.

Ok, fair enough because to each his own but what about sausage, pepper and onion?
