      Or.....for something a little different............
I use two packs of smokies...
a 6 0z.can of mushroom steak sauce...I buy it at walmart where they sell canned shrooms...
Some hot sauce to taste...along with some black pepper...
And some shedded cheddar to thicken the whole mess up...

Never had anyone that didnt love this recipie...give it a try...

So for everyone that uses the grape jelly with the BBQ sauce or chili sauce is it a 1 to 1 ratio or do you go by looks?

I have to get to the grocery store to try the others.

            Thanks!

We test tasted the grape jelly and the chili sauce and also the sweet baby rays with grape jelly. They were both very good! We noticed that the sweet baby rays seem to stick to the smokies better giving you more sauce with each bite. But both very good! Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Looking forward to trying some more recipes soon.

Did you use a 1 to 1 ratio?

On the chili sauce it's not 1 to 1 w/ the grape jelly. It's jar for jar and the chili sauce is smaller. I'll check sizes tonight and report back.

On the chili sauce I did 1 cup of each (which is why it may have been a little then). For the Baby Rays - i used 1 cup jelly to 1 1/2 cup BBQ sauce. Ran out of jelly and thought I had another one in the cupboard.

Thanks Tatonka! I've been craving these lately and I've never tried the grape jelly thing yet. Gonna give it a go.

I use a can of cranberry sauce and a jar of chili sauce with some brown sugar and little hot mustard thrown in. Usually turns out pretty good.
