Its funny that snarlingiron mentions hen of the woods shrooms as I was thinking the exact same thing. Have an abundance of them around here. I only hope to remember that come next fall when they are out....Someone please remind me

OH my GAWD........These are so F'n good. Well worth the wait. Did half a recipe, wish I went with the full 4 pounds. I honestly think I could live on these and Hamms beer and nothing else....maybe some slim Jims too.
Was going to have some venison tonight, but the wife surprised me with a big ole pile of crab legs so the backstrap will have to wait till tomorrow.
