Here are a few pic's for some reason PB wouldn't upload some of them.

Just a shot of some of the 25 teams

Capt Dan and Rich tackle the grate cleaning while Geoff starts trimmin briskets.

Most of the evening after prep was sitting in the beer tent listening to some great blues bands. In the wee hours Rich cooked up some Chix wings.

    Everything is coming along nicely.

    Zeeker and Rich.

Capt Dan removing the points for some IC:35 Burnt Ends

John has all the turn in box shots.

Congrats Capt-N-Smoke on 6th in Chicken and Rich from IBQ'n on 1'st in Ribs and Pork. Tough day for a lot of great teams. It was great to see Capt Dan, Rich, Lee, Geoff and John again and finally meet Rich from IBQ'n. I had a blast. Where's the pics? I know for a fact that there's some sleeping pics out there from this event. This place needs new avatars. again congrats to all...

On Edit: Oh, Lee posted some but I still don't see the money shot...

The only bacon I brought home was the 3 lb pack we didn't use for the planned pig candy. I am cooking that bacon this am for breakfast.

I should add that I had a blast. One of the most fun events I have cooked at.

Congrats to all that walked. I didn't take many pics because we had plenty of that already going on, and I was too busy anyways.

It was fun to get reunited with my old buddy Labatts Blue !

Dan, right there you said it all. you gotta go into these things prepared... not just to get your game on, but to accept what the judges deal out as results. being topps is always nice, but as long as you having a good time trying i think what it really about. Good job everyone, extra special to IBQn for the 2 firsts!!!

Thanks all. We always have fun and alot of laughs when we get together, which is only to compete. Were scattered all over but seems we have known each other for years ( well we have sorta from forums). Next one for us is in Sept.

hey top 10 in chicken - not a complete loss

                                Labatts - as I remember - is a very drinkable beer :-)

Definitely looks like a good way to spend the weekend.
(beats 10 hours of hand cocking a trebuchet with an 83 lb weight on the other end anyway - damn i could hardly move this morning).

Good food, good friends - what more do you want (apart from a trophy) :-)
