Labatts - as I remember - is a very drinkable beer :-)
Definitely looks like a good way to spend the weekend.
(beats 10 hours of hand cocking a trebuchet with an 83 lb weight on the other end anyway - damn i could hardly move this morning).
Good food, good friends - what more do you want (apart from a trophy) :-)Once you go Weber....you never call customer service....

OK, due to a bout of low blood sugar and Father's day, I'm a little late getting the comp pics resized and sent to Rich & Dan. Don't have Lee's and Geoff's email addys or Ida sent them to them too. Guys' feel free to post any or all of them you'd like, I sent you every pic I took.
I had a great time with the Capt-N-Smoke crew, as always and I'm thankful that they let me hang out through the whole morning. I know plating time gets a little hectic and I know that me and my camera had to be getting in the way at times. You couldn't ask for a nicer group of friends or a more fun group of guys to hang with (love the humor and wisecracks floating around).
It's really too bad that they got ripped in the judging. The guys were nice enough to let me sample what they were turning in and i tell ya, I've NEVER tasted better Q. The pork medallions melted in your mouth like butter, the brisket was super moist and just full of great beef flavor and the chicken looked and tasted awesome. Let's just say that Geoff's got yardbird down pat.
Judges or not, you're winners in my book.
I just realized that I didn't get a group pic of all 4 of them this time. Dammit!
Next time I'll take a tripod so I can get in a pic or to also. LOL
Hope you guys are in another comp in my neck of the woods this year!

Damn guys - sorry to hear about the less than desired placings. Everyone knows that on any given day you can score high or low - even with all the rules, the people are enough variation to make the difference. Keep doing what ya'll do and next time you'll be in the top walkers.
You had fun and hung out with some cool folks that's most of the journey.
BTW .. Zeek is a bit taller than I figured and Rich,,, well you're still Rich with a touch of gray

Lessons learned, stories told and fun be had. We'll go after em again next year. Perhaps a lil less cocky about our chances.Lang 60 Mobile deluxe

7's in appearance? That chit looked awesome to me. What is the competition now doing different? Something had to change, what? Maybe not easy to "determine" the change. My opinion...hope you brought our own Vaseline.
Got a buddy here that "owned" chicken in FBA for three years. He now "own's" brisket, pork and ribs, and cannot find the sidewalk for chicken. Bite through skin, he missed it. Boneless he missed it, he catchin up though.Mark
