  • Hey Smoked-Meat! What's Cooking This Weekend?

Here's my start. Get home 6:40, thaw ribeye in warm water in sink 35 mins.... Fire up Weber Q 10 mins, Cut fat away from ribeye and cut into small chunks, season, skewer. Grill, turning every 3 mins, sauce top n bottom 4 mins each. Done. Not a medium/rare deal, butt sweet, sticky, spicy and wife ate it! She would not eat a ribeye ootright, butt I tricked her. Haha

Loved that one Scott. for pulling that off with missus.

Going to watch the big game at my son's house not far away. No grilling/smoking this weekend, this morning it was 16 degrees here and windy, and it's supposed to pour tomorrow afternoon.
So, we're having air-fried panko crusted shrimp, picked up a LB of good crabmeat for a dip, and then tacos galore for gametime. Just got done pickling some red onions, and about to start preparing some of the toppings. The meat will be pulled Mississippi chicken, and ground beef with Mexican spices.

I know most of you could care less, but this is rather a "big" game for me.

That looks and sounds gooood Scott!

SB weekend is pretty non-eventPhil around the HawgHouse. Nobody here likes watching foosball, big game or not ('cept me and college ball). Just the way it is. Butt, it is cold as shit here, and like Jim said, we gots rain coming. We'll be cooking indoors this weekend... not sure just what yet.

              Drinks well with others

Tonight, lots of mud bugs but buying them at an awesome resturant. Going out with my brothers for a boys night.

Tomorrow, no idea yet. Need to talk to the Mrs.

Last night some tri-tip and twice baked taters.

I’m a week into a 3 week work trip so nothing too special, the gas grill at the rent house leaves a lot to be desired. I did bring some of my go to spices and brine to work with. I did pick up some good beer to enjoy and will be making a trip to the brewery later in the trip

Perhaps some day you can enjoy some "loins" on this weekend.
