You guys are killing me! Now you got me jonesing for a Santa Maria style cooker. I have been on the fence about buying the new Yoder charcoal cooker. The price has been the issue. This place AZ BBQ Outfitters builds some nice units. http://www.azbbqgrills.com/page17/
Still not inexpensive but allot of room on the grate. My problem is we go from needing to cook a couple steaks to needing to cook for 20. I need more surface so a larger cooker is in order.
I really like the setup of the Santa Maria style pits. I probably will go with one of the Santa Maria style pits.

I have been thinking about one of these. I pass this place every few days. They are built like a tank. 3/16" steel throughout. Same principle, just round. Little pricey, but should last about as long as I will. They have a hole in the bottom to facilitate sweeping the ashes out.
