  • Gourmet Cajun Seafood Pizza - Peach wood fire cooked

    Hi all,

I have been toying with the idea of doing a "off the hook" Cajun Seafood Pizza. For the spice to give it a great kick I went with 2 tbsp. Mad Hunky Hot Ass Whang. I have found this rub to be an excellent Cajun spice that really goes well with shrimp, bay scallops and mushrooms. So I built me a nice Peach wood fire in the Scottsdale and cooked me one hell of a seafood pizza. Some of the meats used are Dungeness Crab, Bay Scallops, Large Shrimp and Andouille sausage. Oh I also included allot of sautéed mushrooms with garlic. Plenty of foody love went into this build that most would use a fork to eat. I however manned up and went without fork and did allot of picking bits up off the plate and table. The way it should be!

The pizza turned out amazing to say the least. The Dungeness crab was subtle but very flavorful as was the Andouille sausage. The spice was spot on and I have Mr. Mad hunky to thank for that. HAW rocks!

    Thanks for viewing!

Yep I am watching this now. Genius recipe dude! You came up with Jambalaya pizza. I'd add just a few fresh jalapeno rings for zip. Though you cheated and used footage from your last pizza cook. Dude I'd drive to Seattle for this right now.

Gman, yes I did. I made enough sauce the last pizza cook to use for 4 to 5 pizzas. There was no need to re-shoot so I used the footage over.

            pizza

I could eat a whole one of those - probably, it'd be fun to try anyway

hang on, you bought the dough !
            shame on you :-)
pizza dough is so easy to make, plus you could then incorporate some of the haw into the pizza dough to notch it up the scale a bit :-)

That's one loaded pizza! Lots of flavors going on there. Fun getting off the grill too. Can see why there are no shots of you trying it. Especially if you manned up without a fork. Can you use that shirt to film again? Lol.

Lol.. I have 2 sets of three identical shirts I use for doing these cooks so I can change quickly when chit spills or fly's all over my shirt. It happens allot. Injecting meat and the liquid squirts all over me and I cuss then get a new shirt and edit that out of the video.

The pizza is a fork eating pizza. Or you can just eat over the sink.
