Sole supplier of my vac bags...they are top shelf. And when my POS cheapy food saver goes belly up, I'll look to Lisa for my new sealer.

        • X5 , I tried a few rolls and have been hooked on the quality AND the service. I have not price compared in a couple of years because I usually buy in bulk.

I like the way the last bags I got are constructed, much better than the FS brand.

          • I emailed Lisa, she actually called me! After she updated the code here. We had a nice chat, she visits Vegas every now and then, last time was a convention for stuff she deals with. Talked about the weather and the Vegas traffic. I did order 4 8' bag rolls, I seem to go through them the fastest. They really seal every time and they just 'work' when I need them too.

            Best bags.

              • Her product is better than the name brand and I've placed 2 or 3 orders previously - BUT - our last 2 orders? - did not seal properly. Maybe they were manufactured on a Friday. I'd be interested if anyone else has had problems.....

                • Different bags/thickness sometimes require more time to seal. Sometimes a few more seconds is all that it takes.

I run an old tilia foodsaver with an adjustable heat setting. Every once in a while it gets bumped and I have to dial it up.

I just got an order from her. I have a $30 Regal sealer. No problems. Are your rubber seals in good shape and clean?

                    • I have a 7-8 yr old FoodSaver. It was top (resi) of the line at the time. Seals are like new. (Only 2 of us). Wife had issues with alternate brand. Some bags just don't seem to work as intended. Definitely unwanted wastage. These ones I have been using the last 2 times seem to make her happy. And I'm all about making her happy!

                      Maybe it's a humidty/altitude thing!

                          • Looking at getting a Vacmaster 112s from Lisa.

                            http://shop.vacuumsealersunlimited.c...STERVP112S.htm

The 112s is listed as the "new and improved" replacement for the 112. Does anyone know what the differences are?

Too often I've found "new and improved" is actually code for "made it cheaper and more flimsy so we could drop the price".

If so, would go on a quest for the original 112. If not.....go with new and improved. :)

                            • Don't know anything aboot the VacMaster, butt am looking at it also... my FoodSaver bit the dust today during a critical sucking... I use the FS a lot (been thru three of them), and need something more reliable. The VacMaster is kinda spendy, butt is it worth the extra spend? I dunno.

                              • Don't know either, but am about to find out.

Although I have a FS, I rarely use it as likely or not, whatever I'm trying to pack has enough blood or liquid in it to interfere with the seal. So we use zip lock bags and plastic tubs a lot and deal with the freezer burn and waste. The wurst is to open a package of some kinda sausage that took hours to make only to find it frosted.

That you can do liquids in these opens up a whole nuther world.

Also looking forward to the summer when for the first time in decades, we will have a garden and not a little one. One of these plus a pressure canner are expected to get a workout.
