All kidding aside- keep that handy and start converting recipes to weights- if you have any use for multiplying/dividing batch sizes. They come out MUCH better that way! I have been meaning to do this... Sigh.

Last night I started converting some bread recipes in weight. Now I need to start a new recipe folder with using only weights. Come to think of it I think that recipe conversion program I had posted here will do it all for me, make it fancy and print.

Maybe we should move this conversion program to this thread, after all it is a tool

      http://www.smoked-meat.com/forum/sho...ipe+conversion

and I know there are some other Power Point programs posted that would be considered tools for sausage making and such.

This scale is very accurate. I was playing around with it and looking for something that had the weight printed on it that had almost no packaging. I took out a stick of butter, it said on the package it weighed 113g, I figured the thin paper wrapper wouldn't weigh out. So I put the butter on the scale and it weighed 114.5g, at first I said well thats close enough; but then I took off the paper wrapper and weighed it. It was 1.5g. This also came with some weights that can be mounted opposite the platform side so you can weigh up to 5 lbs or over 2200 grams. I still need to clean these

Most all trip beams are accurate to .25 gram or so... if yer good, .1 gram is possible enough.

Lets just say I know for a fact they measure grams very well.

Or at least thats what I hear.
