  • Garlic stuffed Chuckie.

I decided to tinker with a chuck roast today. Here are a few pics...

First, with a small knife put slits in the roast and pushed in garlic cloves. Did this about a dozen times all over the roast.

Then injected with beef broth that I added garlic, black pepper and thyme to.

Then dusted with granulated garlic, onion powder, white pepper, black pepper, a little paprika, and small amounts of coriander and thyme.

This is after a few hours in the smoker. Internal temp hit 160. I wrapped it in foil with a little more beef broth.

Also cooked some veggies. Potatoes, carrots, onions, zucchini, squash, mushrooms and garlic cloves seasoned with just a little salt and pepper then I stirred in a little basil pesto and poured in some white wine.

Veggies all done after a couple hours in the smoker.

After internal temp hit the low 190's I put the roast in a cooler to rest so I would be able to slice it. Opened it up after about a 45 minute rest.

    Sliced up

A close up showing the stuffed garlic bites.

A plated pic, chuckie & veggies with a piece of cheesy garlic bread.

That is one fine looking chuckie right there, nice work! Beef, garlic, smoke...

If you ever come across fried garlic (found in Asian markets) give that a try with some rubbing action, good stuff
