  • My spicy nuts for your review

I can't claim the recipe as my own, it is courtesy of an ex. Didn't walk away with much else but the nuts.
    4 cups pecans
    4 tbls butter
    4 tbls dark brown sugar
    4 tbls maple syrup
1/2 tsp cayenne (+/- to taste)

    Preheat oven to 350deg

Add butter, brown sugar, maple syrup and cayenne to pan.
Cook on medium heat until bubbly
Add pecans and stir/toss until thoroughly coated.

Cover a flat sheet in parchment paper.
Place coated pecans on parchment paper in a single layer.
5-10 minutes in oven until your level of doneness is achieved.
    Cool and enjoy

Reminds me of the old slap chop commercial, "you're gonna live my nuts"

I gotta say, those are some good looking nuts

Looks great but I agree with Barkonbutts, smoke them before adding the glaze and it adds an amazing flavor fixture. Pecans seem to hold more smoke than some other nuts also.

I'm glad you like my spicy nuts. I find the cayenne helps limit the amount consumed in a single sitting. Otherwise, they damn near go as fast as you can make them
