Looks awesome!!! It's definitely fall stew weather! Made some beef stew last Sunday but there wasn't enough left over for pot pie, or actually, I was going to make it like shepherd's pie actually and just spread it out and cover with mashed taters.

Looking great Becky, and props for DO cooking! I finally have my DO for ourdoors but haven't gotten around to cooking with it yet. When I do I will be looking up your recipes!

Well, when I think of a "pot pie" it's those nasty mini Banquet chicken ones that my folks would make while growing up.

The homemade versions are so much better. I've had several friends make some with mashed potatoes or biscuits on top. But those are more like a shepherd's pie. Or at least that's what I know them as. I did see a recipe recently that used puff pastry on top of ramekins. That would be good. But seems like a lot more work than just heating up the leftovers and digging in. Lol.

No question that I'd do a Pete Rose face first slide into that plate! I absolutely love comfort food like that, especially since the temps are turning cooler and the tree leaves are hitting the ground.
