We are going to Minot ND on Thurs the 14th and be there till Mon. My buddy isn't the outdoor type and doesn't have any gear to ice fish or maybe we would get out for a bit... Thanks for sharing...

say what, no Pstone this year or that just summer??? ran across a guy last year i think at the Freedom Store in IFalls and he picked out me rig and knew exactly we were after lakers... Anyway he was trying to get us to come up there(prettysure thats where you used to go...).

If you are looking for a dogsled trip in, check out Smitty's in N of Ely, great place to stay on a good multi species lake. Walleye, Lakers, nice Pike( the lake is also home of the state record Silver Northern), it is located on Snowbank Lake which is about half BW and the half next to resort is out of BW. Anyway they do sled trips in, good lodging, good fishing if some dont want to do the trek into BW, snowmobile trails, much more...

Right up my alley. Cold doesn't bothers me. Hate heat. Was out a few weekends ago. -4 F and the wind was blowing like crazy. Wasn't bad for the first hour. Then I discovered I had forgotten my heater. Doh! Stayed out there for 6 hours. Caught a lot of little ones. Kept 2 nice crappies and 4 nice sunnies. On tipups, a 36" northern pike and a couple 20 inchers for pickling. Lot of work for such a little catch. Love it. Do it again, anytime.

Wanna see cooked pics. Come on, E! What a tease.

Yeah, I know. With the lack of snow and a few below zero days, we've got about 18-20 inches of ice on the area lakes. Usually go up in the Chisago-Lindstrom area. Lots of lakes and good ice. We were just goofing around. Wanted to catch something big. We've caught some big pike through the ice there in the past. Biggest was 48". Loads of fun. PM me, I'll tell you the lake. I'll tell you about the awesome lady DNR officer too. Lol.
