  • 107 degrees on the patio...Lets cook some meat...

We will start with this pic of the Longhorn loaded up...
A Hunky brined turkey breast rubbed with my herbed poultry rub...smells like a good match with the brine...
A marinated and injected pork loin with a salt and pepper rub...
And two different chicken sausages that I picked up at the store...Package says fully cooked so they are on the far end of the smoker soakin up some smokey flavor...Wont leave them in for long...probably...

    Major updates later...maybe...

And I have been bitching about the 101° on my patio.. Of course my smoker is in the sun. Feels like a 150° when I am checking the meat. Wont mention what it feels like next to the firebox. Good news is I am not using too much wood lol

                    OK...OK...Here is a friggin update

This is a picture I cant quit looking at...and for a store bought sausage this stuff was top notch...

Forget about the sausage...This is supper...The hunkey brined breast was smoked with pecan from start to finish...

And near the end we added two quarters of a fresh pineapple...Maybe an hour in the smoke but not much more...

And here is my first serving...The turkey was plated next to the cheesey squash thingie that Lena made...of course the smoked pineapple....

All in all it was a fine supper...
Thanks for lookin and sorry for makin ya wait

Beautiful turkey breast, Craig! Looks very moist! How did the loin turn out for you? What in the pan under it?
